Wifi Access Using UB Issued Equipment
Wifi access is available to UBNet authorized users for use with personal portable computing devices (laptops, Surface PRO, etc.). UB issued equipment is configured to automatically connect to Knights Wifi on campus.
Connecting to Knights-WiFi using Non-UB Issued Equipment
These instructions are for non-UB issued laptops and devices. The first time users log into Knights - WiFi, users will need to log in with their UBNetID and password. After configuration and initial login, users will not be required to enter/select network unless a change of password has occurred.

Step | Action |
1 | Launch the Wireless Connection Menu located in the lower right corner of the screen |
2 | Choose "knights-wifi" and click Connect |
3 | Enter your UBNet Username and Password. You may have to type ad\ in front of your username. |
4 | Upon authentication, you will be connected to knights-wifi. |
Windows 8.1 and Windows 10
The instructions are the same for both of these operating systems, but the interface looks slightly different.
Steps
- Choose the knights-wifi network from the wifi menu.
2. In the user name field type ad\ and then your UBNETID, and type your password in the second box, then click ok.
3. You will be asked to accept the certificate by clicking connect, and then you will be connected to the wireless.
