Mac OS X El Capitan

Step 1

Choose the wifi menu from the top right section of the menu bar, near the time.

Step 2

You will be prompted for your credentials, type ad\ and then your UBnetID and password. You can select Remember this network in order to automatically connect to this network when available to you in the future.

Step 3

The initial wireless connection can take a short time to initialize, but the wifi icon in the top menu on the right side near the time will flash each of the bars of the wifi signal black in an up and down pattern to indicate that it is working on establishing a connection.

Step 4

When the connection is successfully made, the wifi symbol bars will turn solid black.

Knights Wi-Fi for IOS Users:

Take the following steps to setup your IOS device to access Knights Wi-Fi.

Step 1:

Go to setting –> Wi-Fi –> choose a network –> select knights-Wi-Fi.

Please note that iPhone users may encounter an issue when adding Knights-wifi.  Please see the troubleshooting section if an issue is encountered.

Step 2:

The login screen will appear.  Enter your UB username and password.  Click Join to sign in.

Step 3:

Click Accept on the certificate screen

Step 4: 

Confirm connectivity by ensuring that knights-wifi is checked.

Troubleshooting:

If you cannot see the login page when trying to connect to the Knights-wifi or there was a problem login in for the first time then you will need to add knights-wifi manually.  Follow the steps below:

Step 1:

Go to setting –> Wi-Fi –>  choose a network –> Other

Step 2:

Type in the network name and choose the security type:  The Network Name is:  knights-wifi and the Security Type is WPA2 Enterprise.

Step 3:

The login screen will appear.  Enter your UB username and password.  Click Join to sign in.

Step 4:

Click Accept on the certificate screen

Step 5:

Confirm connectivity by ensuring that knights-wifi is checked.
