Respondus 4.0 Exam Authoring ToolRespondus 4.0 is an exam authoring tool that makes it easy to create and manage exams for use in Canvas. Respondus 4.0 properly formats exams that are downloaded from a Publisher test bank or created in Microsoft Word, and allows them to be imported directly into Canvas. It works with a wide variety of question types, including multiple choice, true or false, essay, fill in blank, matching, and multiple response questions. Thousands of publisher test banks are available in Respondus format (free to instructors who adopt a participating textbook). And existing questions can be imported from other file formats, such as MS Word.
For publisher test banks, faculty must first contact the publisher to request access to the test bank, then submit the access information to helpdesk@bridgeport.edu for importing into Canvas
For Word documents, faculty must use the appropriate formatting described in the Faculty Guide, then send the completed document to helpdesk@bridgeport.edu for importing into Canvas
